How it works!

Clicking on the small, unreadable map below will take you to a page where there is a larger version along with a magnified section of the map.  The smaller version has a black box that you can move around the map by placing your cursor over the black box, depressing your left mouse button and while keeping it depressed, slide the black box around the map.  As you do, you will see the part of the map underneath the black box, in the larger, readable section to the right.

If you need to see the entire (readable) map all at once, click on the link below the two maps on that page.  That link is also below this smaller map on this page.   The reason for this annoyance is the size of the map.  In order to be of any use, the electronic size of the map is quite huge, almost a half a megabyte, and consequently, takes a long time to display when it is clicked on, ie; on a 56K modem, it takes the map 1 1/2 minutes to load in.  I 'hate' waiting for stuff to 'load' in, so I have taken these steps in hopes of making it a little more tolerable.  Having said that, I would tell you that I have tried all the 'accepted' techniques in order to make things work faster, but, the bottom line is you have to wait.  On the bright side, once the map has been loaded (it also loads into your computer), the next time you visit the map it will load in relatively quickly.    Thank you for your patience and understanding.
